In an attempt to to live like "normal" people, we are sharing our story. It has only been 4 months since we made the decision to live an alternative lifestyle. (I call it progressive).
By all appearances, we are 3 adults sharing a house. "A" and "J" are married and I came to live with them after divorcing my husband of 16 years. "J" and I met through work and devoloped a relationship that evolved into a love affair. When it was revealed to "A", she proposed the idea of living together and making it work. We all jumped head first. There were some things that we knew would be difficult but many things that have come up that we had no idea. Any relationship takes work and has it's rewards. When there is an unconventional element like we have, perhaps the challenges are harder and the rewards are greater.
I am looking forward to our lives together. This has also piqued my interest about other families that are unconventional. And so "here" we are...
